There are 2 ways to install Laravel one is via Laravel Installer and other is via Composer Create-Project. We will walk through both ways.
At first you must have composer installed on your system. A Composer is a tool for dependency management in PHP. It allows you to declare the libraries your project depends on and it will manage (install/update) them for you.
Laravel Installation Via Laravel Installer
Open the command prompt and run the below command.
composer global require "laravel/installer"
After the above command, open command prompt in the directory where you want to install laravel project. Next, Run the below command.
laravel new blog
Here ‘blog’ is the name for your project.
Laravel Installation Via Composer Create-Project
In a second way just run the one command and you were done. Open the command prompt in your root directory and run the below command.
composer create-project --prefer-dist laravel/laravel blog
Here also ‘blog’ is the name of your project.
Once you have done with the installation. Open the browser and run the URL
You should see Laravel home page.
