Optimize WordPress Database With WP-Optimize Plugin

Website speed is the number one factor for your online success. Needless to say, the site with low speed can’t stand anymore in today’s competition.

When you start your WordPress website, as the time passes a lot of unnecessary and unused data stored in the database. This makes your database large and starts compromising your website performance. This orphaned data occupies many megabytes of valuable space.

We should optimize our database once in a while which helps to keep database safe from orphaned data and to improve the site performance.

How To Use WP-Optimize To Optimize WordPress Database

To get started, install and activate the WP-Optimize plugin on your WordPress website.

Once activated, you will find the new menu ‘WP-Optimize’ added on your dashboard. Click on this menu and it will redirect to the setting page of a plugin.

Settings

On this setting page, there are several options provided. A user can choose any one or multiple options and run the optimizations process. All you need to do is select the preferred options and click the ‘Run all selected optimizations’ button.

WP-Optimize plugin also allows us to keep this optimization process automatic. If you wish to enable automatic service then go to Settings->Auto clean-up settings and enable it.

Disable Comments Using WP-Optimize

If you are looking to disable comments on all your previously published post, then WP-Optimize provides a setting to disable these comments. By this way, your visitors will not see comment form anymore in your past published posts.

Go to the Settings tab and you will see 2 buttons Enable and Disable under Comments. Additionally, you can disable Trackback also from this settings tab.
